PONY EXPRESS, the largest universal logistics operator, is considering a possibility to establish a logistics centre on the territory of the Baku International Sea Trade Port in Alat settlement.
Company’s regional development director Sergey Sergachev has stated that the PONY EXPRESS representatives have already been in the port area, where creation of a free trade zone is expected.
"We are now at the stage of analysis of the stock market and when our experts come to understanding what Azerbaijan’s consumer needs from angle of developing business, the Company will make a decision on economical deliveries and cross-border transactions. The logistics center project in Azerbaijan is a prospect of the next year as we now it is important that customers could feel that the PONY EXPRESS is an international operator who provides a quality service at a fair price," said S. Serguchev.
He added that in parallel work is underway on the analysis of Azerbaijani market for creation of the logistics center, and its location on the territory of the Baku International Sea Trade Port is considered as one of the options.
